Abstract

As a result of the expansion of the validator set on Pythnet, this PIP proposes to discontinue the operations of 3 validators nodes currently sponsored by the Pyth Data Association.

Rationale

With the growth of Data Publishers on Pythnet that each run their own set of validators, block production is sufficiently decentralized and no longer requires the sponsorship of the PDA for a subset of the validators

Description

The proposals will depermission a subset of validators sponsored by the PDA, with no impact expected on Pythnet’s performance and security of the network
