Pythian Council Election #5 - Jayant Krishnamurthy

by Jayant Krishnamurthy·May 19, 2026

gm Pythians :waving_hand:

I am putting my name forward once more for the 5th Pythian Council.

The basics:

  • Wallet: 3ouXHhNH6QgyxDRLmjgCddbTqYBkPSufLiLgTp2BVy2p

  • Key custody: Ledger hardware wallet

  • Name: Jayant Krishnamurthy | @jayantkrish (Twitter) | @jayantk (GitHub) | otiosetortoise (Discord)

  • Role: Co-founder & CTO, Douro Labs

  • Location: North America

Track record:

  • Pythian Council member every term since inception (Councils #1#4)

  • Top vote-getter in Election #2, auto-renewed into Council #3

  • ~5 years contributing software to Pyth across the entire codebase — oracle program, price feed clients, governance program, cross-chain verification, Lazer

  • Co-founder of Douro Labs, the largest technical contributor to the Pyth protocol

Recent contributions:

  • Helped design and ship Pyth Lazer — sub-millisecond price feeds for latency-sensitive DeFi/CeFi venues (launched Jan 2025)

  • Continued contributions to the oracle program and verification programs across the chains Pyth serves

  • Supported operational PIPs as a council signer — program upgrades, fee changes, PGAS delegation

  • Active in technical reviews of new Lazer trusted-signer enablements (e.g. Cardano), Sui Lazer contract upgrades, and other recent OP-PIPs the Pythian Council has executed

Why I’m running again:

The Pythian Council is the council that signs off on the protocol’s most technical operational changes — oracle and verification upgrades, fee parameters, PGAS allocation. As CTO of Douro Labs, I’m involved with most of that code on the build side anyway, and I want to keep helping the council make well-informed decisions on the operational side. The next term will be pivotal: Lazer is scaling out across more chains, the oracle keeps expanding the asset universe, and the protocol’s economics keep maturing. Happy to keep doing the work.

Other relevant experience:

  • Co-founder & CTO, Douro Labs (since Aug 2023)

  • Software engineer, Jump Trading Group

  • Long-time technical contributor to the Pyth Network across Solana, Wormhole/Pythnet, and the various target chains

Looking forward to continuing the journey with you all.
