[Price Feed Council Election #5], Wattson, Aristophanes / Pythagoras - Pyth Network Discord

by Wattson·May 22, 2026

Glomo Pythians and voters,

I am putting myself forward as a candidate for the Price Feed Council Election #5.

Over time, my involvement in Pyth has moved from learning and community participation into building tools, organizing ecosystem information, and thinking more seriously about how Pyth’s data layer supports real users, developers, protocols, and market participants.

I am running as an active community contributor from the builder and ecosystem side of Pyth. My focus is on reliability, feed usefulness, ecosystem coordination, and helping ensure that Pyth’s price feeds continue to serve the people and products that depend on them.

Pyth’s price feeds are not just numbers on a screen. They are infrastructure that protocols, traders, dashboards, and developers rely on to make decisions and build financial applications. That is why I want to contribute to the continued quality, coverage, and trustworthiness of Pyth’s data layer.

Motivations to participate in the Price Feed Council

My main motivation is to contribute to the reliability, usefulness, and long-term quality of Pyth’s price-feed layer.

If elected, the areas I would focus on are:

  • Feed reliability and market relevance: supporting decisions that help Pyth feeds remain accurate, useful, and representative of real market conditions.

  • Builder and integrator feedback: bringing the perspective of people who use Pyth data in products, dashboards, tools, and market-data workflows.

  • Publisher coverage and data quality: learning deeply and contributing carefully to discussions around publisher coordination, feed coverage, and the standards needed to maintain trust.

  • Governance participation: showing up consistently, reviewing proposals carefully, asking questions where needed, and treating multisig responsibilities seriously.

  • Ecosystem clarity: helping make feed-related decisions and ecosystem resources easier for the wider community to understand.

  • Operational seriousness: responding quickly when council action is needed and approaching every responsibility with care and accountability.

I believe the Price Feed Council plays a critical role in protecting one of Pyth’s strongest advantages: fast, high-quality, real-time market data. I would be honored to contribute to that mission.

Relevant Experience

Pyth ecosystem contribution

I currently contribute in the Pyth Network Discord as Aristophanes / Pythagoras, supporting community understanding, ecosystem visibility, and education around Pyth.

Through this role, I have continued to learn more deeply about Pyth’s protocol, products, governance, and ecosystem activity, while also contributing ideas and helping make the ecosystem easier for others to understand.

I believe active community contributors can play an important role in governance because they help keep the protocol connected to the people building with it, discussing it, and learning from it every day.

Pyth ecosystem directory

I have built a directory for the Pyth ecosystem to make it easier for people to discover, understand, and navigate projects, contributors, tools, and resources connected to Pyth.

For a protocol like Pyth, strong infrastructure is critical, but ecosystem clarity also matters. The easier it is for people to understand the ecosystem, the easier it becomes for more builders and users to engage with Pyth’s data layer.

Market data and builder perspective

I have worked on market-data-focused projects that use real-time price-feed concepts, including tools designed to monitor market movements, replay price action, and make market events easier to understand.

This has given me practical exposure to why feed quality matters beyond theory. Reliable data affects user trust, protocol safety, trading decisions, dashboards, and the ability of developers to build strong applications on top of Pyth.

Builder / integrator-side perspective

I want to be transparent that I am not running as a legacy publisher or institutional data provider.

I am running from the builder, integrator, and community side of the ecosystem. I believe this perspective is also useful for the Price Feed Council because price-feed decisions affect the people and products built on top of Pyth.

If elected, I would bring that practical user-facing perspective while continuing to learn deeply about publisher coordination, feed management, multisig execution, and the operational responsibilities of the council.

Commitment if elected

If elected to the Price Feed Council, I commit to:

  • Maintaining high participation standards.

  • Reviewing proposals carefully before taking action.

  • Treating multisig participation with seriousness and urgency.

  • Asking thoughtful questions where more context is needed.

  • Supporting decisions that strengthen feed reliability, market relevance, publisher coverage, and long-term data quality.

  • Acting in the best interest of Pyth, its stakers, publishers, integrators, builders, and wider ecosystem.

  • Continuing to learn and contribute beyond community visibility, with a focus on operational reliability and responsible governance.

I am committed to contributing where I can have meaningful impact. Pyth’s price feeds are a foundation for the next generation of financial applications, and I would be honored to support the work of protecting and improving that foundation.

Thank you for considering my candidacy.
